Reorganising and management of IT department
The CFT design team conducted a comprehensive IT resource audit for pkt.pl, conducted a GAP analysis and executed post-audit follow-up projects in the scope of technical infrastructure, operational activities, key business processes and control procedures.
The project included:
- preparing comprehensive IT budget structure
- designing the organisational structure of IT human resources
- describing roles, processes and operational procedures in the IT area and between departments
The reorganisation project included the following areas:
- reorganising and managing a 15-person IT team, entire operational activity and executed IT projects
- creating and implementing operational and SLA procedures for individual business processes
- creating and implementing IT Governance (COBIT, ITIL)
- creating transparent relations with vendors (integrators, software and IT hardware suppliers)
- preparing IT Department budget (optimisation of fixed costs)
- implementing a Help Desk with SLA as the main contact point for users
- implementing standards for hardware and software in the company on the basis of user roles and functions
Reorganisation of the Data Center:
- optimisation of the costs of Internet connection
- migration of production servers to external location
- separation of back office servers and developer environment
- standardisation of servers (Linux, Windows) and optimisation of server farm maintenance costs
- development and implementation of a dedicated ERP application
